Mission Statement
The mission of the Tony Stewart Foundation is to raise and donate funds to help care for chronically ill children, drivers injured in motorsports activities and to support other charitable organizations in the protection of various animal species.
A Message From Tony
Racing is my profession but I’m also driven to help others through the work of my Foundation. There are so many organizations providing outstanding service and programs and my impulse is to help them all. However, it has been necessary to focus our funding to those programs that most closely match my passions – children, animals and fellow drivers in need of assistance.
I’ve been fortunate enough to accomplish my dream of driving race cars for a living. The Tony Stewart Foundation will continue to provide the vehicle for me to give back to others needing a helping hand – a child enduring a serious or life-threatening illness, an abused or homeless animal, an injured race driver and his family.
Please take time to explore our site (tonystewartfoundation.org) and learn more about the Foundation. Perhaps you are seeking funds for your service organization or you are a Fan wanting to contribute a financial gift to help me fund the many requests received each year.
Let’s work together to insure that the Foundation’s goals and mission to help others is accomplished!
Yours truly,
Tony

Dear Mr.Stewart,
I am writing you in regard to a very special little boy he is one of your
biggest fans. His name is Ben Rider,he is 9 years old,on April 11,2001 when
Ben was only 14 months old he was in an automobile accident that left him a
quadraplegic and on a ventilator. He spent 7 weeks in Kosair Children’s Hosp.
in Louisville,Ky.fighting for his life after that he was transferred by air
ambulance to St.Vincent’s Rehab Hosp.in Indianapolis where he spent 4 months.
He was brought home after that.
I am Ben’s grandmother I have had legal custody of him for 5 years. He is a
very delightful child. He goes to school at Johnson Elementary School in
Scottsburg,In.he has a nurse that goes with him.
His most favorite thing is Nascar,he never misses a race,he is able to use
his right arm now and every time they play the National Anthem he places his
little hand over his heart and sings with them and ALWAYS SAYS GENTLEMAN START
YOUR ENGINES!!He can tell you which driver is in which car,for instance you
are in #14 Mark Martin is #5,Kyle Busch is #18 etc.He has your license plate
a key ring and even a life size cut out of you in our bedroom.During the last
race at Homestead the Colts were playing on the other station and the other
guys in our house wanted to see how the Colts were doing so they switched
without asking and he said, turn it back,Tony is in second he’ll be in first
and I won’t get to see him do it!”
His dream is to come to The Brickyard this year and to meet you and he wants to
be able to say the most famous words in racing,”Gentleman start your engines!”
I can probably pay for the tickets for the race but I don’t know if I can get
good ones for him this late.I know I can’t get the rest of it done. Please is
there anyway you can help me make this happen for this child. He deserves any
happiness we can give him.I appreciate all you for children like Ben.When you
meet him you will see how special he is.
Thank you so much for your time.
