The Baltimore Raven's Jonathan Ogden Foundation helps student-athletes take responsibility for their futures through lessons learned on the playing field, in the classroom, and throughout their local communities. Their aim is to capture a student-athlete's passion and dedication for their respective teams and sports, and transform it into a catalyst for scholastic, community, and career development that will help them become positive role models throughout their communities for generations to come.

Dear Sir:
I volunteer my time working with youth attending the Franklin Square Elementary Middle School. Our students come from disadvantage households in crime and drug affected neighborhoods in southwest Baltimore. While I coach middle school debate and lacrosse, I also serve as a mentor-role model for many of the students.
I am working to create career exploration afterschool program to attract high performing students to the school and instill a determined commitment to achieve among all our students. Having been an attorney in Baltimore City for the last twenty years, I am convinced that a law and forensic science would meet with the most productive results. I am so committed to the creation of the program that I have reduced my practice to part-time and spend much of my time working at the school with the students. The benefit of a law and forensic science program will not only provide legal career exploration, but it will also promote good citizenship among our youth.
Through the assistance of your foundation the school can obtain the financial and/or in-kind influence needed to obtain the funding for law related textbooks and written materials, youth forensic science kits, transportation for field trips, and stipends for facilitators.
Thank you.
