Ted Lindsay, Steve Yzerman

The Ted Lindsay Foundation was established in 2001 by Ted Lindsay and John Czarnecki, the father of a nine-year-old boy with autism. Funds are raised through golf outings and other events, as well as through sales of autographed sports memorabilia. Since our inception in 2001, the Ted Lindsay Foundation has raised over $1,500,000 for research into the cause and cure of autism.

Mission Statement
*To raise and dispense funds to new and existing research projects focusing on the cause and treatment of autism.
*To provide funding for training programs, educational programs, and social services for children with autism.
*To elevate public awareness in the community regarding the need for increased funding and support for children with autism.

Contributions to the Ted Lindsay Foundation are used to fund research projects conducted by Dr. Wakefield. The resulting research reports are published worldwide. For your reference, a report can be downloaded from our web site.

[Note: Detroit Red Wings Hall of Fame center Steve Yzerman also serves on the foundation's Board of Directors as a Vice President.]
