Former pro wrestler Ted DiBiase, “The Million Dollar Man,” and his Heart of David Ministry will be speaking at Dyersburg First Church in Dyersburg, TN on October 30 – November 1, 2009.
About Heart of David
Heart of David Ministry is a ministry of evangelism and encouragement birthed in the heart of Ted DiBiase – when he realized God had called him to ministry. Identifying greatly with David’s fall and heart felt repentance, Ted realizes that it is the condition of the heart that matters most to God, and like David he desire’s to be “a man after God’s own heart.”
Because of the tremendous popularity of wrestling today and his own success as a superstar of pro wrestling, Ted feels the platform God has given him is wide and diverse. He has a message for teenagers struggling with peer pressure and men struggling with everything from power and success, to sex, lust, pornography, drugs, and alcoholism. He has a message for married couples at their ropes end, thinking divorce is the only answer. Speaking candidly and from the heart, Ted touches on all these issues and uses the greatest example possible, his own personal experience. The toughest match of his life being his own personal struggle with God, Ted also challenges the lost that attend church regularly, those who have religion but no relationship with Jesus.
Ted knows the youth of our nation, in for the fight of their lives and bombarded by the filth and garbage our culture feeds them daily, are searching for truth and something to believe in. From personal experience, worldly success and spiritual failure, he lets them know that success and truth, real truth, can only be found in the person of Jesus Christ. He challenges men to be men of character and integrity, assuming the God ordered role of spiritual leader of the family. He challenges them to be servants to their wives, kids, and community and to have the guts to “go the distance” in their relationships and commitments, Ted also uses what he’s known best for over thirty years, wrestling, as a tool (or bait) to reach the lost. Ted’s shows are “good ole rasslin!” There is always a good guy and a bad guy and in the end, the good guy wins. But when the last bell rings and all has been said and done, the gospel has been preached and many lives have been changed for eternity!
But in the end pastor, although he’s not the same guy he used to be. Ted DiBiase is still a wrestler! Invite him to your church. He’ll wrestle with your teenagers and their peer pressure! He’ll wrestle with your congregation and test them to see if what they have is religion or relationship! He’ll wrestle with your men and their ego! He’ll wrestle with your married couples and the problems they face! But know this, he’s guaranteed to win because now he has the greatest tag-team partner in the universe, Jesus Christ!
