Tarkenton Sports, Inc. was founded in the Fall of 1994 with the purpose of giving people the opportunity to own authentic autographed merchandise from Fran Tarkenton. His autographed sports memorabilia had not been widely available prior to this venture. The company, in its grass roots stage, was started by his children in their spare time. After six months, due to enormous growth, Fran’s youngest daughter, Melissa took over full time.
Today, Tarkenton Sports, Inc. services hundreds of stores around the U.S. and Canada. It provides collectors from all over the world the chance to own personally autographed sports memorabilia from Fran Tarkenton. Tarkenton Group, Inc. continues to expand daily and hopes to enhance the sports memorabilia collecting hobby on the World Wide Web by reaching millions of people.
