Steeler Update
This week was as short week for us. We played San Diego on Sunday and then had to immediately get prepared to play the Bengals on Thursday. I’m kind of glad that we didn’t have too much time between games because it allowed us to not have to pay attention to what everyone was saying about our controversial win against the Chargers. A win is a win and that is all that matters so lets move on.
On to the Bengals, we knew they had a lot of injuries coming into Thursday’s game particularly on their offensive line. They also were going to be without Chad Johnson. Those key loses and the upcoming bad weather were definitely going to make this game interesting.
We felt like as a team we could go out there and get a lot of sacks like when we played them the first time but the Bengals had a different strategy this time. The quarterback went with a 3 second drop instead of holding on to the ball for longer so it wasn’t as easy to get to him. We did manage to sack him but we only got one. Even though we weren’t able to rack up a lot of sacks we did put a lot of pressure on the quarterback, shut down their running game, held them to a lot of three and outs, and were able to give our offense good field position.
We are now getting ready for the upcoming game at the New England Patriots on Nov. 30th. That is going to be a great game can’t wait.
