Rookie Bonding

Hey Everyone…I’m into the first week of Falcons Camp and other than the heat and the fact that the vets are making me carry all of their stuff everywhere, its going great so far!

I’ve gotten mixed reviews about what people have warned me about but overall it’s not that bad. Just some new terminology I have to learn but I’m catching on quickly.

All the rookies have bonded really well. I’ve bonded mostly with Thomas Decoud, Curtis Loften, and Sam Baker. Thomas is my roommate. He’s a typical Cali guy…laid back, nothing bothers him and he’s really funny. He can quote the movie Life (with Eddie Murphy & Martin Lawrence) word for word. Baker played at USC and we often get into it about USC-LSU. But that’s a totally different story.

We stay in an apartment-style place where we have our own rooms and bathrooms but share a kitchen. Recently, the vets made all the rookies sing Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ and we got booed by the entire team! That night we had to sing was unreal. Matt Ryan was the lead singer and Sam and I were his backup vocalists and the rest of the guys were the back up dancers. I thought we did a really good job but apparently the vets didn’t think so. The coaches even made the rookie coaches do a little sing and dance routine that was also really funny.

Well, back to the grind.
More soon.

I’m really cheering the team on this season. I think great things are going to come about. Your scrimmage game was really good Saturday. The team seems to be coming along. I can’t wait to see the first home game!!

    Good Luck!!!
