1999 USU –vs- Univ. Georgia in Athens, GA. It was my junior year and the first game of the season and my first game starting at middle linebacker. I just turned 19 yrs old and switched my jersey number to #19. Georgia was ranked #9 in the nation and Quincy Carter was their QB, the whole team was stacked with All-Americans, I led both teams with 19 tackles, 10 solo, 9 assists and 2 QB sacks on Quincy Carter. After the game I had fans from the Univ. Of Georgia tell me they hadn’t seen a middle linebacker play like me for a long time. It was the start of a stellar season for me. |
