Description The roots of Blitz Distribution extend back to 1992, when two friends, Tony Hawk and Per Welinder, decided to take a gamble and found their own skateboard company. By then, Hawk had already established himself as one of the greatest skateboards of all time, with 12 world championships and 18 X Games medals in his war chest. Welinder was also a figure of some renown, a master of the technical art of freestyle - the precursor to today's street skating - and the only man to ever beat Rodney Mullen in a contest. In addition, Welinder's skills as a marketing manager and his MBA from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA helped give the company the edge it needed to succeed in the often volatile skateboard industry. Description In 2002, Tony launched the Boom Boom HuckJam, a 30-city arena tour featuring the world's best skateboarders, BMX bike riders and Motocross lunatics performing choreographed routines on a million-dollar ramp system, while punk and hip hop music plays. The hugely successful (and massively publicized) HuckJam tour has sold out arenas across the country every year since its inception and even been featured as a Happy Meal at McDonalds. After entertaining standing room only crowds at Six Flags parks across the country the last two years, BBHJ will be hitting a variety of locations in 2008. This year's tour will be visiting a wide variety of venues, including state fairs, sports arenas, theme parks and more. It's an all outdoor tour once again this year, featuring Tony along with HuckJam favorites Kevin Staab and Jesse Fritsch along with a crew of more of the best skaters, BMXers, and Freestyle Moto-Xers in the world. We'll have the world famous HuckJam demo ramp on hand, plenty of music, and lots of great stuff to check out in the HuckJam Village. It should be as much fun as ever before.

Description OUR MISSION To educate, encourage and assist athletes in their efforts to contribute to community and charitable causes, to increase public awareness of those efforts, and to inspire others to do the same. OUR PURPOSE Educate Athletes, with the proper information and tools, can make a tremendous positive impact on the charitable community. By connecting with professional athletes and teaching them about their philanthropic options, we will equip them with the tools to effectively give back to their community, educate their peers, and inspire many others to support charitable causes. Connect Athletes for Hope will connect athletes, charities, businesses, and individuals to create a movement for positive change. Many athletes have strong philanthropic objectives, yet do not know how to identify and get involved with organizations that best suit those objectives; likewise, many charities do not know how to utilize an athlete's time efficiently to best serve their objectives. AFH will match athletes' philanthropic goals with the needs of charities. Many corporations want to enhance their philanthropic efforts by partnering with the professional athlete community. AFH will help businesses design effective charitable activities and programs that involve athletes. There is also a special bond between athletes and their fans, and AFH will build upon that connection to inspire millions of people to follow the lead of athletes in a philanthropic movement. Recognize We value the hard work and contributions that professional athletes make to the charitable world, and we believe it is important to recognize these efforts. Through this recognition, we hope to celebrate the significant impact athletes can have on the lives of others, show our gratitude for their dedication to making a difference, increase the visibility of the athletes, charities and businesses involved, and inspire others to become part of the philanthropic movement.

Description We are very pleased to announce the creation of the Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship, the first college scholarship fund in the United States for skateboarders. As mothers of skateboarders, we respect the talent, intelligence, energy, creativity, passion, dedication and drive that we see in these young people. Our mission is to help skateboarders pursue their dreams and attain their career goals by providing college scholarships. Our fund is named in memory of Patrick Kerr, an honor student and skateboard activist. Patrick created petitions and collected signatures for public skateparks, wrote letters to newspaper editors in support of skateboarding, and was the youngest fundraiser for the Philadelphia skateboard non-profit. We are grateful for the encouragement and support of our Board of Trustees, the skateboarding community, skateboard advocates, our friends and family, and the sponsors of the Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship.
