Jarvis Green is a defensive lineman for the AFC Champion New England Patriots. This is one of many ways that he has chosen to give back to the community. The mission of the Jarvis Green Foundation, a non-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, is to provide support to single working mothers in disadvantaged, low-income areas whos lives have been affected by tragedy. The latest beneficiary of the foundation was seen on Montel Williams March 26th 2008, when Green presented Michelle Jefferson a 25,000 dollar check to aid her in the purchase of a new home. Jefferson, a single working mother of four, whose life was torn apart by Hurrican Katrina is once again able to call New Orleans home. Jarvis Green takes great pleasure in helping those in need and is now asking you to help him support the cause. The Jarvis Green Foundation will host its Second Annual Wine Tasting Gala fundraiser on Saturday November 15th, 2008. This event will take place at the Johnson & Wales Inn which is located in Seekonk, MA just ten minutes from Downtown Providence, RI. Our semi-formal event will feature the culinary brilliance of Executive Chef Ken Watt from Johnson & Wales. Fine hors d'oeuvres and fine wines will be in abundance. Also the event will feature live and silent auctions filled with memorabilia any sports fan would be sure to appreciate.
