Description
John Hannah Entertainment, in conjunction with Harrah’s Entertainment, is proud to announce the inaugural Fourth & Goal Classic—a two-day charity event for the benefit of Fourth and Goal, an independent national non-profit public benefit corporation established as the official “Voice” of the NFL retiree and to provide financial assistance to retired NFL players and their families who are in immediate need. The Fourth & Goal Classic is scheduled to be held June 27 and 28, 2008 at the House of Blues at Showboat Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The event kicks off Friday evening, June 27, with a VIP Opening Reception. Saturday’s fun-filled schedule will boast a Celebrity Golf Tournament at the prestigious Atlantic City Country Club, Meet and Greet and a live concert to close out the festivities. Exclusive to the Fourth & Goal Classic, Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Bryd and Pat Green will come together in a special one-time only performance for the benefit of Fourth and Goal. The leading men of country will take the stage at the House of Blues Music Hall to perform Saturday evening, June 28. Special guest, Rachel Bradshaw, the 20-year old daughter of legendary NFL quarterback and FOX NFL SUNDAY celebrity co-host Terry Bradshaw and a cast member on the reality series “Nashville,” will make her Atlantic City debut at the Fourth & Goal Classic as country music’s hottest new comer to watch. Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long (Former Defensive Lineman for the Oakland Raiders and Pro Football Hall of Famer) will host the event. “This year’s Fourth & Goal Classic will be the first of many,” said Pro Football Hall of Famer John “Hog” Hannah, formerly of the New England Patriots (1973–1985), named “The Best Offensive Lineman of All Time” (Sports Illustrated Magazine–1981) and Chief Executive Officer, John Hannah Entertainment, LLC. “Most folks don’t realize that after players walk off the field and into retirement that life goes on…with bodily injuries and medical burdens that last a lifetime. It’s our mission to come to the immediate aid of retired NFL players to ease the challenges and hardships they are faced with, and who are in dire financial need because of inadequate disability and/or pensions,” Hannah continued. “This is not a welfare system. Fourth and Goal represents these players with a voice that will be heard in decisions that affect their lives. Our goal is to get them the benefits they deserve and have already earned just by playing the game. In addition to our fund raising activities, Fourth and Goal assists our friends in need to seek out opportunities outside of the football arena in which they may supplement their income.” Other NFL celebrities who are expected to participate include: Harry Carson (New York Giants/Hall of Fame Linebacker), NFL quarterback and ESPN analyst, Ron Jaworski, Pro Football Hall of Fame Defensive End, Jack Youngblood, Ken “Snake” Stabler, Joe DeLamielleure, Bruce Laird, and Charlie Waters. |

Description
Our mission is to help provide health care for the surviving rescue and recovery workers who rushed to Ground Zero after the 9-11 attacks, by raising a several million dollars. One day an idea came to George Martin, executive, humanitarian and former New York Football Giants star. Many of those who had rushed to aid in the aftermath of 9-11 are sick with respiratory and other diseases that can cause permanent disability. Some have even lost their jobs and had no insurance. Mr. Martin wanted to help. Mr. Martin will walk from the George Washington Bridge (NY) to the San Diego, CA, stopping along the way to promote various events in support of the mission. The goal is to raise several million dollars for medical care for Ground Zero workers. Mr. Martin is looking to raise funds and, in addition, whatever amount he raises, participating Hospitals and Medical Care partners will provide a dollar-for-dollar match in medical services essentially doubling the amount of help care available for The Heroes of Ground Zero. a Journey for 9/11 is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit public charity and your contributions are tax-deductible. [George finished his journey on 6/21/08 having raised over $2 million. Thank you for your support.] |

Description
Harry Carson, Willie Davis, Mike Ditka, Tom Nowatzke, Gale Sayers, Kyle Turley and others form The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and coordination of social services to retired NFL players in dire need. The organization focuses on the humanitarian side of post-football related issues, providing hands-on assistance to help retired players deal with hardships they may face after football. NFL legend Jerry Kramer, who played for the legendary Vince Lombardi on the Super Bowl I and II teams, facilitated the formation of the organization. Many members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and other NFL legends join us in our efforts. Some of the NFL greatest players have had to deal with disabilities and other hardships, many are gone but they are certainly not forgotten. NFL players like: Johnny Unitas, Mike Webster, 'Night Train' Lane and many others had to deal with many physical issues and other hardships caused by the lack of NFL disability support and adequate pensions. The Gridiron Greats Organization facilitates our mission in the memory of the "Makers of the Game." |
