Stay In The Game (TM) is an awareness program that empowers people affected by kidney cancer to seek support, resources and information that can help them build and stay with a treatment plan. Major League Baseball Hall-of-Fame pitcher and kidney cancer survivor, Don Sutton, is the national spokesperson for the Stay In The Game (TM) program and will work to inspire and provide hope to other patients across the country.
The Stay In The Game (TM) program encourages patients with kidney cancer to take a team approach by working closely with their healthcare professionals and loved ones to understand their treatment options and stick with a treatment plan to successfully understand and manage their disease.
Don Sutton was thrown a curve ball when he received the diagnosis that he had advanced kidney cancer. Fortunately, he had a strong line-up of doctors, nurses and family members to help provide the team support he needed to stay positive and identify the most effective treatment option for his disease.
Through the Stay In The Game (TM) program, Don hopes to encourage others affected by kidney cancer to put on their game face, talk to their team, and work with their physicians to come up with a game plan and stick with it, to more effectively fight their disease.
The Stay In The Game (TM) program includes:
*Educational materials providing information and resources for kidney cancer patients and their loved ones
*An informative Web site, www.StayInGame.com
