Description Sunday, November 16th & Monday, November 17th, 2008 Hosted by: Chi Chi Rodriguez Sunday morning begins with a shotgun start at the Chi Chi Golf Club followed by Chi Chi's famous golf clinic. Prizes for play that day are awarded at Sunday evening's sponsor dinner. The Sunday evening dinner and auction event begins with "golf-tails" at 6:00 p.m. at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. This event is hosted by Dick Crippen, popular sports-caster and the voice of the Tampa Bay Rays. Monday's shotgun start is followed by lunch sponsored by Romano's Macaroni Grill. SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL AND BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO YOU Golfers will enjoy the Sunday Dinner, Breakfast, Golf Clinic, and Awards Party. Companies will receive media coverage, print pieces, and golf course signage. Chi Chi Rodriguez will be available for CEO welcome and photo opportunities. Description The Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation was built upon an idea conceived when Bill Hayes, a teacher, golfer, and part-time detention officer, invited professional golfer Juan "Chi Chi" Rodriguez to a juvenile detention center in Florida to give a golf clinic for the detained youngsters. Chi Chi and Bill agreed that there had to be a better way to help these adolescents succeed. The Hayes-Rodriguez team enlisted Bob James, founder of Raymond James Financial, Inc. and the three of them embarked on building the Foundation. The Foundation is a not for profit 501(c) 3 organization, which supports the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy. Whether kids struggle in school, socially or just want to learn golf, all are welcome at Chi Chi's and we have a program for them.
