Description Charlie Mack brings his Charlie Mack Celebrity Basketball game to the Liacouras Center on Sunday, July 13 at 6pm. Started in 1990 solely as a celebrity basketball game the Charlie Mack Party 4 Peace Celebrity weekend has evolved into a charitable benefit raising awareness and financial contributions to organizations that seek to eliminate violence. This year marks the 5th annual Charlie Mack Celebrity Weekend from July 12-13, 2008. It is the first time the game will be played at the Liacouras Center. It is through continued community support that Charlie Mack's mission to reduce and eliminate violence in the Philadelphia community through prevention, intervention and education will become reality. Celebrities set to participate include Jerome “Pooh” Allen, Elton Brand, Rick Brunson, Rasual Butler, Cedric Ceballos, Rudy Gay, Lynn Greer, Andre Iguodala, Kyle Lowry, Cuttino Mobley, Ronald “Flip” Murray, Jameer Nelson, Doug Overton, Aaron Owens ("AO"), Tim Thomas, Hakim Warrick, Alvin Williams, Louis Williams and more*. Get there early for a special pre-game bonus as Team Kobe takes on Philly USA (coached by Rasual Butler). Pre-game tips off at 6 p.m. and is included with your general admission.
