Mr. Smith,
While I know you are a very busy man I am grateful for the time you will take to read this. My name is Ben King. I am a member of a non-for profit organization called the Jaycees. Every year we put on a golf tournament and the proceeds benefit the adopt-a-family program. The adopt-a-family program helps families that are in need during the hard times. With our support the adopt-a-family program helped feed and clothe over 800 families last year. I am writing to you and first inviting you to play in our tourney, and also to ask if you would be willing to contribute any kind of gift to the event. Our tournament is nothing to the scale of what you are used to playing in but it would be an amazing drawl to have such a skilled player as yourself at. Again I thank you for your time.
