The Martellus Bennett Truly Blessed Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2008 to provide assistance to families in and around the Houston area.
The first priority of Martellus and his staff is to help those in need and those who have found themselves in unfortunate circumstances. The Martellus Bennett Truly Blessed Foundation has the ability to give back and bless those in the community by providing changes in the lives of families emotionally and financially.
Martellus is constantly finding new ways to impact the lives of youth in such a great capacity. Currently, the ultimate goal of the foundation is to provide scholarships for high school graduates and also provide resources and educational materials.
In September 2008, the Martellus Bennett Truly Blessed Foundation received its first opportunity as a non-profit organization when it was able to come to the aid of Hurricane Ike victims. Hurricane Ike was a catastrophic storm that affected thousands in and around Houston limiting food and water supplies. With the help of the community, the foundation was able to donate to hundreds of families in Martellus’s own community, Alief, TX.
Thanks to the pallets of food donated by the foundation in September, over 1,600 individuals were provided with grocery bags or a family box that offered relief from the set back of Ike. On October 14th, a secondary food drive provided relief for an additional 600 individuals.
The Martellus Bennett Truly Blessed Foundation has a staff that continues to reach out and provide assistance and relief to families. They are volunteers who work diligently with the foundation to service those families in need. Here at the foundation, we believe that you must give back in order to more forward.
