The vision and inspiration behind Grand Destiny was conceived by LaVar Arrington. He and two of his closest friends Ray Lewis (Ravens) and Joe (Byrd) Cannady (President, Grand Destiny Foundation) are committed to creating an organization that will assist the most at risk children and youth in reaching their highest potential-their grand destiny. Arrington and Ray Lewis are professional NFL athletes who are passionate about using their celebrity to enrich the lives of children in need, at-risk and in foster care. Each has a long history of community involvement and continues to be committed to reaching out to at-risk youth and transforming their lives for the better. Through their compelling leadership and inspiration, Grand Destiny will serve as a catalyst and vehicle for other celebrities, professional athletes, concerned individuals and organizations to get involved and make a real difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children. "This has been a lifelong goal of mine to be able to make a positive impact on the lives of children in need and enable them to shape their own destiny", said Arrington.
