Dear Friends,

As the father of three daughters, I know kids are the last pictures of innocence and that's what charity should be about. That's why in 1999 we started the Teammates for Kids Foundation to provide financial assistance to children's charities.

One hundred percent of the money generated by the players and donors goes to the kids. That's not a goal, it's the rule.

Please join me and learn how you can become involved. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children in the United States, Canada, and around the world.

Thanks and God Bless,
Garth Brooks
Teammates for Kids

OUR MISSION
Through a team built with integrity and in partnership with professional athletes, celebrities, organizations, and fans, the Teammates for Kids Foundation, co-founded in 1999 by Garth Brooks, exists to develop and implement innovative concepts that generate funds for the benefit of children's charities.

The purpose of the Foundation is to contribute financial resources to selected non-profit organizations that effectively serve and benefit children with an emphasis on health, education and inner city services. The Foundation enlists the participation of professional baseball, hockey, and football players who contribute a predetermined sum based upon selected categories of on-field and on-ice performance.

[NFL Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz and former MLB All-Stars Harold Reynolds and Larry Walker serve on the Board of Directors.]

    Hi Friends,Family and neighbors,

I have an opportunity to attend the Offense-Defense Elite Football Camp on July 27-29 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. This camp is a great opportunity to excel at the next level.

This camp affords me an opportunity to obtain professional instruction to put me at the top of my game as well as an opportunity to become an All American. The number of campers is limited and chosen by name only. There is a sense of urgency for donations as the dates of attendance are just around the corner.

The travel expenses are $1500-$2000 including airfare, rental car costs and lodging. I’m in the process of raising money so I can attend the camp, and am requesting your support in an effort to achieve my dream. I’m hoping for, well, any and all donations are welcome.

Please, if you are able to assist in any way, call my Dad, Mike at (623) 238-4222 or my Mom, Mary Anne at (623) 237-1571, please leave a message if you are unable to speak to them personally and they will return your call.

You may view the Offense-Defense Elite Football Camp web site at :

    Thank you for your support,

    Hello Garth,

Back in 2002(?) you and a fellow friend stopped by the Touch of History furnishing’s store in Scottsdale, Arizona. We had a conversation about you writing a song with a sentence I gave you. “Do you want me or …..”.

Several days later you returned with Trisha Yearwood to follow up. I was not there, but one of my associates said you asked if there was a story behind the line. I have tried once or twice over the years to touch base with no success. Will try again. This “song” would have meaning for many people but especially for your Teammates For Kids Foundation.

As I have not heard “the song”, it is possible you have forgotten the closing or it may have been the wrong time for you to write or perform. WELCOME BACK. I would love hearing from you to get the “show” on the road.
