Follow My 2009 Season!
Moving ahead to the upcoming season, I will be changing my entire program. I am returning to my routes, racing dirt track which is the type of racing I did before my professional supermoto career.
As an amateur, I won over 55 regional championships and five AMA Grand National Amateur Championships. I also won the 2004 AMA Sports Dirt Track Horizon Award and the AMA Sports Athlete of the Year Award which is the highest recognition an amateur of any discipline can receive in American motorcycle racing. With these past accomplishments and an AMA Pro Supermoto record of one career Unlimited Class event win (youngest ever to win in that class), and seven other career podium finishes, I was offered a deal for 2009 that I just couldn’t turn down to compete in the AMA Flat Track Championship.
Before the AMA Flat Track Championship series (dirt track ovals and TTs) begins in early March during the infamous Daytona Beach, Florida Bike Week, I will be racing selective pro ice events across the country. Friday, January 9 in Glenn Falls, NY was my first-ever pro ice race during the World Championship ICE Racing Series (www.icespeedway.com), and I expect to do a few more rounds in February. I am very excited as these events draw thousands of fans and open a great opportunity on the east coast during the winter months to race. Imagine motocross bikes racing on indoor hockey rinks with studded tires, sliding around the corners, and banging bars.
My crew and I will be doing tons of different things to keep everyone updated this year. We are excited to be part of Prolebrity.com and start blogging! Please look forward to returning to my blog to follow my 2009 season!
