MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN CHILDRENS LIVES
EDGE for Kids, Inc. is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the development of life management skills for building strong fundamental values for all athletes as well as coaches through mentoring via athletic training, next level skill development, and educational information. EDGE for Kids mission is to provide the financial resources, state of the art facilities, political connections and administrative support to attract adolescents and young adults to opportunities for enhancing and applying their athletic skill development and social growth. EDGE for Kids will achieve this by providing individual and small group teaching and coaching for male and female athletes and help promote qualified athletes for athletic scholarships at Division I,II, Division III, Junior and NAIA colleges.
The creation of EDGE for Kids is designed to educate the ‘whole’ athlete by providing next detailed instruction and instilling personal relationships and values that are unmatched in Florida Basketball. By concentrating on perfecting the methods necessary for partnering with existing sport organizations in one specific sport initially, EDGE for Kids feels that further growth in other sports will be accomplished more efficiently than the alternative path of undertaking athletic development programs in multiple sports simultaneously.
EDGE for Kids vision is to become the largest and most comprehensive, in-season and off-season individual and group basketball training resource in the nation. To provide the answers to “what sports can provide to the individual athlete?” rather than “what the athlete can provide to the sport?” Distribution of usable information in the form of player and coaches handbooks, informative literature, video analysis and instruction with the goal of increasing the odds that a EDGE for Kids athlete will be accepted into a college and qualify for either partial or full scholarship funding.
CHARITABLE DONATIONS
Now you can donate to the youth in Central Florida by assisting their development through EDGE for Kids, Inc. There are many outstanding athletes that just need the proper training to move on to the next level.
There are several ways to participate:
1. A SUSTAINING GIFT will assist EDGE for Kids, Inc. with resources to provide opportunities to the Central Florida youth athletes.
2. A TRIBUTE GIFT provides the opportunity to recognize the outstanding work of your favorite coach, volunteer, official, grandma, grandpa, fireman, pastor, or special person while supporting the Central Florida youth athletes.
3. A MEMORIAL is a personal remembrance that honors the life of a friend, relative, athlete or volunteer with a gift of love and hope. As you honor those who have lived a full life, you are also assisting those who are just beginning theirs.
