Keeping Hope Alive

I was in NYC all week finishing an educational DVD for Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The DVD will serve as an educational informative DVD to help those who have been diagnosed with the disease. I was diagnosed six years ago and I still remember how lost and confused I was about the disease, and all I could think about initially is that I was going to die. Well, this DVD will take that fear away immediately and give hope to those that have been unfortunately diagnosed with this form of cancer.

So that is the reason I have been slow with my blogging this week and I’m going to make this very short and sweet, but very important for the future of the season. In fact, we will look back at these points later in the year to see the way they play out.

Dallas-Tampa
Here is what I saw on tape on the Cowboys offense: the Rams played a lot of man-to-man, more than they have played all year. Why? Well because they made Brad Johnson hold the ball and make stick throws and he just can’t do it consistently anymore. The WRs did not help him, none of them could get separation, and this week Tampa will do the same only they have a better D.

One other thing that needs updating when Tony Romo and Felix Jones are not in the lineup, this is not the most talented offense in football; in fact, they are just above average on offense and average on defense. Speaking of defense, it is sad how many times Roy Williams is attacked each week. I hate to see anyone get hurt and usually when a starter gets hurt on either side of the ball, it hurts them, but not in this case. Teams were just wearing him out. And teams keep attacking Greg Ellis, and here is why: he just struggles getting off blocks and is easy to block. This D has a lot of problems in the secondary and teams will keep attacking it.

Steelers-Giants
Keys: Giant running game against the most violent LB core in the NFL against the run, they will go against the best O-line in football. Another key: can the Steelers handle the blitz packages of the Giants, just remember they are very similar to the Eagles’ blitzes and the Steelers struggled against them.

Next week much more on all things.  And just to finish my update on my little league team, we finished the season 9-0. So proud of our kids.
