Chris Paul, his family and friends will again host the fourth annual “Chris Paul’s Winston-Salem Weekend” from September 24-27, 2009. The festivities will commence on the 24th with a taping of the new ESPN show “Homecoming,” which is hosted by acclaimed ESPN personality Rick Reilly and will be filmed at Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University. With Winston-Salem as the backdrop and shot in a warm setting made up of family, friends, teammates and community, the show will explore how Chris became the remarkable athlete and community leader that he is today. The weekend will also be highlighted by the Gala on Saturday night (9/25) in which the CP3 Foundation will honor late Wake Forest Basketball Coach Skip Prosser. In addition to those two events, the weekend will include a Youth Day of Service (9/25), Friends and Family Bowling Tournament (9/25), Youth Basketball Clinic (9/26) and a Community Church Service and Social (9/27). The proceeds from the charity weekend will benefit the CP3 Foundation which supports a variety of programs and charities in Paul’s hometown as well as New Orleans, LA.
