Our Mission:
The Whitefish Winter Classic is an annual charity event that raises money to assist NW Montana families with pediatric medical related costs that are not covered by insurance. Approximately $50,000.00 annually is given to local families whose children are in need of medical care elsewhere outside Northwest Montana and picks up where insurance leaves off, covering items such as transportation, housing and specialty equipment.

Crush Kick-Off
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Location: Crush Wine Bar
The Whitefish Winter Classic starts off with a bang at Crush Wine Bar. Mingle with our NFL Celebrities, bid in our silent auction, or just enjoy a glass of wine.
Cost*: $20 per person (Tickets sold at the door)
*Complimentary to our VIP, MVP, and Pro-Bowl Sponsors.
Poker Run
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. Location: Downtown Whitefish
Five Card Stud – Montana style. Pick up your first hand at the Great Northern Bar and then make your way through participating bars. All hands must be turned in by 9:00 p.m. at Crush Wine Bar. Great prizes for the top 3 hands
Cost: $10 per hand (multiple hands allowed)

Whitefish Credit Union Play 60 Challenge
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Location: Gym at Whitefish High School
Hey kids! Show off your skills as our NFL celebrities put you through the paces at a Play 60 camp with lots of activities and excitement. Special appearance by Monte, the UM Mascot. Fun for the whole family.
Cost: Free. Raffle tickets available. Donations gladly accepted.

Flathead Valley Snowmobile Association Snow Picnic
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Location: Gray Wolf Run at the Whitefish Mountain Resort
FVSA will be grilling up some fun on the northwest side of Gray Wolf run. Stop by for hamburgers while skiing at WMR or snowmobiling up Canyon Creek. Either way, we’ll do all the cooking!
Cost: Free. Donations are gladly accepted.
Whitefish Winter Classic Gala and Auction
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Location: The Lodge at Whitefish Lake
An evening of fine dining and entertainment for a good cause. Our silent and live auction will include sports memorabilia, recreation packages, and original art from local artists. Special rates available at Lodge for that weekend.
Cost: Table Sponsorship available starting at $700. Individual Sponsorship is $75.

Champagne Brunch
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Location: Whitefish Lake Restaurant at the Golf Course
Local chefs graciously donate their time to create a fabulous brunch accompanied with champagne. And the good news is that it’s all you can eat!
Cost: Adults $12 in advance, $15 at the door/Kids (12 and under) $7 in advance, $12 at the door.
CELEBRITY GUESTS
Each year, approximately 18-20 NFL Players, University of Montana Grizzlies, and film celebrities contribute their time and participate in the Whitefish Winter Classic.
NFL celebrities included quarterback Steve Young, defensive lineman Merlin Olson, wide reciever James Lofton, kicker Morton Anderson, quaterback Billy Volek, offensive lineman Jake Scott, and linebacker Kevin Green. The Classic has also had pro rodeo stars such as Michael Beers, Dave Appleton, Beau Hill, and Louis Field.
Film star Peter Fonda has attended as well as Steve Kanaly of “Dallas,” Wendy Mallick of “Just Shoot Me,” Dennis Franz of “NYPD Blues,” and soap stars Wayne Northrup and Lynn Herring. A few celebrities return almost annually: former Griz and NFL alumni Tim Hauck, Rocky Klever, Guy Bingham, Justin Green, and Kirk Scrafford. Most importantly, a crowd favorite–Monte, University of Montana Grizzly mascot!
