Each year, our Champions for Children event provides an opportunity to honor inspirational people and raise funds to provide vital financial support to families during their time of great need. This year’s event is on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Players and alumni of the New York Giants and guests from sports, media and corporate America will again team up to benefit the brave children and families served by the Jay Fund.
We are so pleased to have the opportunity to present Gary Chartrand, Executive Chairman of Acosta Sales and Marketing, with our Champion for Children award. We welcome this occasion to recognize Gary for his exceptional dedication and contributions of time, talents and resources to the Jay Fund and his philanthropic passion about developing essential educational and health resources in the community. The other outstanding person being honored as a Champion for Children is Anthony Sichenzio, Managing Director of Newedge Group. Anthony is a well-respected financial leader who has been integral to the success of the Jay Fund’s work in New York and is also dedicated to helping our military heroes and their families.
